Why NLP Training for Practitioners?

What is NLP?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming was developed in the early 1970’s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. They asked a simple but profound question:

“What makes the difference between someone who is competent at a skill and someone who is excellent?”

They studied some of the finest therapists around, including Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson, and were able to identify what they were doing , both consciously and unconsciously, that worked so well. They discovered that they were able to pass on the patterns and processes they had identified to others.

Although in those early days, the skills were used in therapy, since that time they have been applied to many other contexts such as management, sales, teaching and training, sports, the performing arts, health and counselling. 

Why that name?

Neuro refers to our neurology, our thinking processes.

Linguistic refers to language, how we use it and how we are influenced by it.

Programming refers to the patterns we create in our thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Richard Bandler has described it as .... "an attitude & a methodology that leaves behind a trail of effective techniques."

Peter Delves has been a Master Practitioner and Trainer of NLP since 1995. He teaches it on his open courses and also within his corporate training. When Peter works with clients in his practice in Kenilworth, Warwickshire he uses NLP techniques and approaches alongside other methods such as hypnotherapy and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). Peter brings a breadth of experience and knowledge to NLP training which enriches the learning of participants.

Certification

Delegates completing the course will be awarded a certifcate in NLP for Practitioners.
